Best Monero Wallet for iPhone (2026)
The best Monero wallet for iPhone: seven App Store wallets compared on sync, seeds, Tor, Trezor and Ledger support, and backups.
By Joe, founder of Monero One
Which Monero wallet should you use on an iPhone? We compared seven Monero wallets from the App Store. They differ in four places: the coins they hold, Tor, hardware wallets and seed formats. Here is the short answer:
- Monero only: Monero One or Monero.com.
- Many coins: Cake Wallet, Stack Wallet, Unstoppable or Edge.
- A hardware wallet: Cake Wallet works with a Ledger or a Trezor Safe 7. Monero One works with a Trezor Safe 7.
- Tor inside the app: Cake Wallet or Skylight.
We make Monero One. So this guide uses facts from each wallet's App Store listing, docs, release notes and code, and it names the places where other wallets do better.
How We Compared
On October 17, 2026, we read each wallet's App Store listing, its docs or release notes, and in some cases its source code. We did not test the apps by hand for this guide. The sources are at the end.
Each wallet gets the same checks: how it syncs, seed formats, Tor, hardware wallets and backups. Our general Monero wallet guide also covers Android and desktop apps.

All seven apps are free to download and publish their source code. Six also run on iPad. The App Store lists Unstoppable for iPhone only, with in-app purchases. The Monero project lists Cake Wallet, Monero.com, Stack Wallet, Unstoppable and Edge among its mobile wallets.
Monero One is a Monero-only app for iPhone and iPad. It pairs a Trezor Safe 7 over Bluetooth. It adds widgets, a sync Live Activity and Trusted Locations, which warns you when the wallet syncs outside the places you trust.
Monero.com comes from Cake Labs, the team behind Cake Wallet. It is their Monero-only app, with Tor, subaddresses, accounts and backups.
Cake Wallet holds Monero next to Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and other coins. On iPhone it covers the most ground: built-in Tor, a Ledger or a Trezor Safe 7, seed passphrases and encrypted backup files. It also runs on Mac.
Stack Wallet holds Monero next to Bitcoin, Litecoin and other coins, and it runs on phones and computers. Its release notes added Polyseed and Tor support for Monero in June 2024.
Unstoppable added Monero in version 0.44, in August 2025. Later versions added watch-only wallets from a view key, subaddresses, accounts and 25-word seed import.
Edge added Full Sync for Monero in July 2026. Edge says that "Full Sync allows Edge to locally download and validate the Monero blockchain." The Monero project lists Edge as a remote sync wallet, so check which sync mode you use.
Skylight is a light wallet from MAGIC Grants, a nonprofit. It can sync through a light wallet server (LWS) that you pick, and it gives that server your private view key. Run your own server, or use one from a person you trust. Since version 2.0, in September 2026, Skylight can also connect to a Monero node and scan on your phone.
Monerujo and Monfluo run on Android only. Feather and the Monero GUI run on computers.
Seed Formats in iPhone Monero Wallets
Your seed decides which apps can open your wallet.
- Monero One for iPhone creates a 16-word Polyseed or a 24-word BIP39 seed. It restores 16, 24 and 25 words, and it can open a watch-only wallet from an address and a private view key.
- Cake Wallet creates a 16-word Polyseed by default. You can pick a 25-word Legacy seed or a 12-word BIP39 seed instead, and add a seed passphrase under Advanced Settings. It restores all three, or a wallet from its keys.
- Stack Wallet added Polyseed for Monero in June 2024.
- Unstoppable added 25-word Legacy seed import in version 0.50, in August 2026.
- Edge added private key import for Monero in July 2026.
A 25-word Legacy seed opens in most Monero wallets. Our Monero seed words guide explains each format and the apps that read it.
Hardware Wallets on iPhone
On an iPhone, a hardware wallet connects over Bluetooth. Trezor says that "On iPhone, only Bluetooth connections are supported." The Trezor Safe 7 is "the first Trezor hardware wallet with Bluetooth." So a Trezor for Monero on iPhone must be a Safe 7.
Trezor lists Monero support on the Safe 7, Safe 5, Safe 3 and Model T, through third-party apps. Trezor Suite does not handle Monero.
- Monero One pairs a Trezor Safe 7 over Bluetooth. You type a 6-digit code from the Trezor screen, and you confirm each send on the device. Our Trezor guide for iPhone has the steps.
- Cake Wallet works with a Ledger over Bluetooth and with a Trezor Safe 7. Trezor's own Monero page lists Cake Wallet for iOS.
- Cupcake is a free app from Cake. It "turns an old iOS or Android phone into an air-gapped hardware wallet that signs for Cake Wallet."
Have a Trezor Safe 5, Safe 3 or Model T? Use Feather or the Monero GUI on a computer. Feather's docs and Trezor's Monero page list those models.
Tor on iPhone
Tor hides your IP address from the node that your wallet talks to. On iPhone, you get Tor in one of two ways.
- Built into the app. Cake Wallet has built-in Tor under Settings, App settings, Connections. Cake marks it experimental and says syncing over it is "drastically slower than clearnet." Skylight has built-in Tor for its server or node connection.
- Through Orbot. Orbot is a free Tor app on the App Store. In Monero One, start Orbot first. Then go to Settings, Sync Settings, Remote Node and turn on Use Tor Proxy. The node list includes two Monero One onion nodes.
Monero.com and Stack Wallet also support Tor for Monero, per their site and release notes.
Backups on iPhone
Your seed is the main backup. Write it on paper and keep it offline. Type it only into a wallet app on your own device, and never into a website, chat or support ticket. Your Monero stays on the blockchain, and the seed is the wallet.
- Monero One: go to Settings, then Backup Seed Phrase, and enter your PIN. A wallet with a 16-word or 24-word seed can also show the 25-word Legacy form of the same wallet. Use it for apps that read only 25 words.
- Cake Wallet: besides the seed, you can export an encrypted backup file of all your wallets and settings under Settings, Backup. Cake creates a password for the file, and the file is "useless without it." You can save the file to a drive or to Proton Drive from the share sheet. It restores only on a new install with no wallets.
- Monero.com: its site lists local and cloud backups.
Moving Monero to Your iPhone
To move a wallet, install the new app, choose restore, and type your seed. The app scans the blockchain and finds your funds. Your Monero stays on the blockchain the whole time.

- From MyMonero: our MyMonero guide shows how to restore a 25-word MyMonero seed.
- From an exchange: send your XMR to your wallet address. Our Kraken guide walks through a withdrawal.
